I have been flying towards the sunrise for almost 20 hours. And I'm there now-in Australia.
This bit of jungle is from Kuala Lumpur airport. A piece of jungle under the open sky. Just the "no smoking" signs give away it's not for real.
The flight went remarkably well. Fast and painless. Plenty of good films and a very comfortable chair.
My friends left me to explore the city and surroundings almost immediately. They had to leave for a festival in one of the national parks, surrounding Adelaide.
I visited the central market, had some dumplings there, walked in a park.
Stepped into an ant highway while starring at some parakeets and an Australian magpie. The bird was acting a bit strange, I thought. Jumping sort of. Soon I realised why-it was hunting ants and the bugs were biting it back. I looked down, and to my horror, my feet were covered in very large insects. No such things in Lithuania, nope! I don't know how, but I've managed to beat of all the ants of my feet and legs. It must have been an odd dance to witness.
How to look for birds and see what's under your feet at the same time?
It's late spring here. The air is full of bird shrieks and blossom smell. Succulents and odd plant shapes everywhere!
