Kansas sun

This is my first time to USA. It feels rather strange. Just like in Australia. You are not in the same continent any more...
Above-the down town of Kansas city.
We visited the railway station. There's a lot of history here. The wall outside the building is marked with a few bullet holes. It's a reminder of a cross fire between mafia and the police.
A photo of the station from the beginning of the lats century. Now the light never reaches the floor. It instead falls on the heads of many cafe visitors, sitting on the upper floor.
I'm sure it's a very common bird in USA. The cardinal bird. I was hoping to see it and I did! On the first day!
My friends very vocal, human faced basset hound craving for attention. We plan to take a walk around the neighborhood tomorrow...
Another treat! Americans are probably laughing right now (if I happen to have any American readers). The opossum, not the cutest creature around. The dog has spotted it, walking on the fence. The poor thing hadn't moved for a long time after we had left it alone. Did you know they "play" dead (even the smell mimics a dead animal) when they feel threatened.
